CC601: STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS 2

STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS 2 is a study of facts and basic principles in analyzing the forces in truss members and drawing the influence line for beam and truss.  The calculations of forces cover both the statically determinate and indeterminate trusses.   The course also covers the method of unit load in determining the joint displacement of trusses due to external loading, temperature changes, fabrication errors and camber.

Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:

1.       Correlate correctly the principles and concept in analyzing the determinate and indeterminate structures. (C4)
   2.       Evaluate correctly the mechanics behaviour of structure in trusses and beams.(C5)
3.     Prepare assigned task using critical thinking and problem solving skills. (A4)
